About the audit

Kula’s AI Scoring- built for fairness and precision: Our AI Scoring feature evaluates candidates based on their skills, education, experience, and resume inputs. To ensure equitable outcomes, we conducted a rigorous examination using two scientific methods: Disparate Impact Analysis and Counterfactual Analysis. These approaches help identify and mitigate biases related to sex and ethnicity, reinforcing our commitment to responsible and fair hiring.

  • Disparate Impact Analysis: This method identifies whether an AI system disproportionately impacts specific demographic groups. The audit confirmed that Kula’s AI is free from biases related to sex and ethnicity.
  • Counterfactual Analysis: This approach evaluates how decisions change under different circumstances, such as if an individual’s sex or ethnicity were altered. Results showed that Kula’s AI ensured fairness 98–100% of the time, demonstrating its commitment to responsible decision-making.

Unlike synthetic data, we rely on real-world, organic data from Warden AI’s dataset to ensure accuracy and relevance. The positive outcomes of these analyses affirm that Kula’s AI meets the highest standards of fairness and transparency.
